Dulce venganza

Llovía. Las gotas se estrellaban furiosas contra el cristal, empeñadas en enturbiar su transparencia, con la misma furia con la que mis pensamientos se agolpaban en mi cabeza mientras yo paseaba, nerviosa, por el despacho. Al día siguiente, último día del jurado, tenía que exponer mis conclusiones, las cuales no dejaba de actualizar cada cinco minutos, como quien actualiza una red social, esperando un icono en rojo que me diera la clave para evitar aquella -previsible- condena.
Una piruleta, una maldita piruleta con el ADN de mi cliente era la evidencia contra la que no podía luchar. No había trampa ni cartón. La concurrencia a la vista sería notoria, y yo «sólo» tenía que defender a aquel malnacido ante todas esas personas que esperaban que la venganza cayese sobre él como cayó al suelo la piruleta de la criatura después de perder la vida a sus manos. Una dulce venganza.
