Un reencuentro inesperado

Jamás olvidaré nuestro reencuentro.
Nuestro país era portada mundial por una alambrada. Seres humanos, buscando una vida digna, vivían confinados en un campo de hedor, miseria y peligros.
Necesitaba verlo con mis ojos, así que un viernes me presenté allí.
Iba paseando junto a aquella barbarie cuando nuestras miradas se cruzaron. Estaba sentado, con un pantalón roto y sin camisa.
Hacía unas semanas me había escrito anunciándome su intención de venir a España.
– Una locura de adolescente – Pensé.
En su cara, desgastada por el sufrimiento y familiares enterrados, no quedaba rastro del pequeño cuya familia me acogió de voluntario y que un día, junto al mar, me dijo:
– De mayor, quiero ser abogado como tu.
He vuelto cada viernes. Duermo en un saco junto a él; fumamos y hablamos de fútbol.
Hoy será diferente. Le han concedido la condición de refugiado.

Since we introduced the IWC Mark XX back in July, the brand has filled out the link collection to include a total of six variants: three dial colors – matte black, sunburst blue, and sunburst green – with or without a bracelet. I went hands-on with the black and green on a bracelet, alongside the Mark XVIII (and my own Mark XII), and we were able to capture photos of the blue dial on a strap (the photos you see in this article).
The Reverso may be the immutable icon of Jaeger-LeCoultre, and the Polaris watch is one of the chief engines pulling the train link commercially these days (as well as, to be fair, a family of watches with a history and heritage in their own right). But the Memovox has always had a special place in my heart – a little reminder of the twin faces of the alarm, which both regretfully rouses you from repose, but also promises adventures yet to come.
