ABOGADA EN ESTADO
Reyes Bellver Alonso · Madrid La tormenta azotaba mi piso. Era tarde y seguía trabajando. Además, tenía pendiente preparar una de mis clases en la Universidad. Debía explicarles a los alumnos la diferencia entre “investigado”, “procesado” y “encausado” ¡Qué daño han hecho algunos tertulianos que se creen abogados! Estaba de casi seis meses, y no me encontraba bien. Pasaba más tiempo en el baño; neceser con pastillas en mano, intentando lidiar con mis náuseas; que en el escritorio. Dijeron que iba a ser temporal. No fue así. Además hay que sumar mi falta de hierro, más debilidad. Y este calor que no ayuda en mi estado ¡Estas cosas no te las cuentan! Las mujeres seguimos sin contar la verdad sobre lo que es traer vida a este mundo, trabajando. Quiero seguir siendo abogada, pero también quiero ser madre. Sonreí. Apagué el portátil. Me tumbé en la cama sintiendo a mi bebé mientras continuaba la tormenta.

A brief aside to explain that I am a total contrarian: If you tell me X is cool then I will immediately tell you Y is cooler. Seeing things become popular makes me wince to the degree of genuine physical discomfort. So for this brief moment I will link pretend that small watches are just small watches: Politics be gone! For the next few moments I will indulge in non-biased watch talk because these bite-sized Cartier watches really «sparked» pure joy.
