Manolo parecía llevar incorporado en su ADN un imán que atraía hacia sí, a modo de pandemia, los asuntos más estrambóticos.
Como experto abogado que era en Propiedad Horizontal, había sido contratado para asistir a la junta ordinaria de la comunidad donde radicaba su despacho profesional. Pronto pudo comprobar que aquella jauría humana poco iba a necesitar de sus conocimientos técnicos. Tirando de pragmatismo, decidió entonces adoptar la postura de ese espantapájaros que, impertérrito ante los meneos del viento, se limita a vigilar que la fértil pradera no amanezca hecha un páramo.
La elección de presidente fue la cuestión más candente. No había manera de solventar las discrepancias entre los propietarios, reacios todos a ocupar el cargo. Hasta que Manolo atisbó la solución: el sorteo.
Y así, por medio de la insaculación, resultó elegido don Arsenio; quien, emocionado, improvisó un discurso: “Estimados vecinos, gracias por la confianza en mí depositada”.

Tengo debilidad por los relatos irónicos. Éste es muy bueno. He conocido presidentes de comunidad que exhiben con orgullo esa distinción. Apúntate un voto.

I apologize for ruining the discovery process; the first time I tried out one of link these, I kept looking at the watch thinking something had changed on the dial. It was incredibly perplexing and even slightly annoying. Something was different, but I just couldn’t figure out what. Then, finally, I found the anchor pointing straight up one time and it clicked. It’s a novel touch and makes the Captain Cook even more fun.
