HISTORIAS DE MI BUFETE
RAFAEL OLIVARES SEGUÍ Recién licenciado, ante la imposibilidad de encontrar trabajo como abogado, decidí poner un bar, «Mi Bufete», en el que además de servir copas prestaría asesoramiento jurídico a los clientes que me lo requirieran. Una tarde, entre güisqui y güisqui, acodado en la barra y encaramado a uno de los taburetes, Ta Lee Lo, el empresario mayorista chino, me contó sus problemas con un individuo al que calificó de delincuente, sin tan siquiera anteponer la etiqueta de presunto. Rápidamente, con aplomo y seguridad, redacté un borrador de denuncia y le pregunté por los delitos e incumplimientos de la ley del interfecto.
–¿Delitos?, ¿qué delitos? –me dijo sorprendido– yo solo te he dicho que es un maleante, que no deja de malealme pala que le pague lo que le debo.

Reality check time: The watch market is slower than it was a year ago. In some cases, much slower. Scroll through recent auctions and you’ll find more unsold lots and watches that sold below estimates, sometimes because auction houses have loaded up on modern watches that used to be hot. This is especially the case for watches that link really aren’t that special, and maybe even sometimes watches that are objectively special, but maybe we’re just a little tired of.
