Mi cliente y yo esperábamos al nuevo procurador para facilitarle la documentación. Con las pruebas de ADN lograríamos solventar el problema y él sería exonerado de cualquier relación con el agresor. Estaba claro, las pruebas eran circunstanciales, lo habían detenido, esencialmente, porque era un inmigrante.
– Los prejuicios raciales son una pandemia en esta sociedad. – dije acomodándome frente a él en el sofá de mi despacho- se expanden como una plaga de conejos en una pradera.
Aurel asentía a mis palabras. Los dos vestíamos parecido, él era un rumano de tez blanca y yo un español con la piel de ébano. Quizás por eso, cuando entró el procurador, se dirigió a él para solicitar los documentos. Preferí sonreír.
– También hay camareros que sirven la cerveza al hombre y el cortado a la mujer. – Añadí – Como te decía, a esta sociedad le hace falta un buen meneo.
